Bareilly: The five-day training programme on “Entrepreneurship Development through Dairy Farming and Milk Processing”, organised by the Agri-Business Incubation Centre of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, concluded on Saturday. A total of 30 trainees from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh participated in the programme.
The chief guest at the valedictory ceremony, Dr Rupsi Tiwari, Joint Director (Extension Education), IVRI, stressed the importance of timely vaccination of dairy animals. She said regular vaccination is essential to protect livestock from various diseases and ensure the sustainability of dairy enterprises.
During the programme, trainees were provided insights into dairy farming and milk processing, with a focus on developing entrepreneurship opportunities in the sector. Participants also shared their feedback and offered suggestions for further improving the training programme.
Certificates were distributed to all trainees at the concluding ceremony. Dr Arup Ratan Sen, Head of the Department of Livestock Products Technology; Dr Mukesh Singh, In-charge of the Livestock Production and Management Section; and scientist Dr Sagar Chand were also present on the occasion.
The programme was conducted by Dr Bablu Kumar, Principal Investigator, Agri-Business Incubation Centre.
